Angelica Maria Vale Hartman also popularly referred to as her professional name Angelica Vale is a Mexican American singer, actress and radio DJ. Her parents were comedian Raul Vale and Angelica Maria La Novia Mexico. In 1973, she's credited for launching the La Balada Ranchera (Ranchera Ballad) music genre, which reached the top of the charts, making Angelica Maria the first Latin artist to have sold two million copies within the United States. In 1974, she met Venezuelan comic/singer Raul Vae. They later married in 1975 at the first wedding televised by Mexico.
